Art by Rachel Siegel

Based in Los Angeles, architect turned artist Rachel Siegel offers an extensive collection of watercolor paintings as well as black and white ink drawings creates en plein air in moments of inspiration. Fortunately for us, she made her way to our patio. Rachel seeks to capture urban environments, landmarks, historical buildings, and natural settings she finds interesting and iconic to the incredible and diverse landscape of not only LA, but everywhere she goes.

What is the origin of Apericena?

If you're familiar with Italian food culture, you’ve likely heard of the famous Italian ritual of aperitivo, or aperitif, a pre-dinner drink which in Italy which is always accompanied by snacks. Apericena, Chef Danielle’s European restaurant concept, refers to a relaxing meal involving aperitives and tapas-style plates intended to share.
